In the classroom, students researched Native American Tribes of the United States. Students had a choice in their product, a poster, diorama, or prezi presentation. Students need to include their tribes location, food sources, natural resources used, and the weather in their tribes region. Students also included interesting facts that they found during research.
THE CRAYFISH HAVE ARRIVED!!
Students are taking the opportunity to observe and "explore" the crayfish. This is a great chance for the students to interact with these amazing creatures.

The students have been doing research on the planets of our solar system. They have taken this information and created "Keynote" presentations on their iPads. (Keynote is like a powerpoint app for iPads)
The Beetles!!
The students finally got the opportunity to observe and interact with the bess beetles today. After the intial "creeped out" wore off, students found that these are very interesting little creatures. The coolest observation of the day: "Mr. Matthews, they hiss/squeal when they're on their backs".
